WHAT IS THE JOURNEY?
THE JOURNEY is a place of RESTORATION: It’s where fallen, broken and messed up people have come
together to find forgiveness, wholeness, healing and answers to life’s most difficult questions. (And in
case you haven’t noticed, we’re all messed up. Some people just have more self-awareness than others.)
THE JOURNEY is a place of REALNESS: We encourage you to leave your “church masks” at home. We
want to get to know the person you really are, not the person you think others (people in church)
expect you to be. And since God is more concerned with what’s going on inside of us than how we
dress ourselves up on the outside, don’t feel like you need to dig through the back of your closet to find
something that you think looks like church clothes. Whatever you feel comfortable in works here.
THE JOURNEY is a place of RELATIONSHIPS: Most importantly, together we seek to know the meaning
behind what it means to have a vibrant and intimate relationship with God. And secondly, we get to
enjoy the benefits of developing healthy life-long relationships with other people like us as we take the
journey together.
THE JOURNEY is a place of REFRESHING: We like to laugh! We think the sound of laughter, of children
playing (and even crying) is the sound of life. We enjoy spending time together just doing life. While we
take seriously the word of God, we try not to take each other too seriously.
THE JOURNEY is a place of REACHING OUT: We love to serve people, both inside and outside of our
church family. Journey Outside the Box is an intentional Sunday (several times each year) where we
worship God by serving others and showing His love in very practical ways.
THE JOURNEY is descriptive of the spiritual path many people take before discovering the amazing life that is found
in an intimate and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It also represents an ongoing process of
maturity that is part of God’s development plan for every Christ follower. One of the primary reasons we
believe this church is here in this community is to walk with you, regardless of where you find yourself
on YOUR JOURNEY today.
Pop in on our worship service, drop us an email, or check out one of our Journey Groups. We would
consider it a privilege if you would give us an opportunity to take the journey with you.
